
As part of a health and safety review of port practices, P&O Ferries will not permit drivers to sleep in their cabs at the Cairnryan terminal from Monday 10 March 2025.
Drivers found to be sleeping in cabs from Wednesday 26 February will be advised that the practice will not be allowed after Sunday 9 March.
Drivers found to be sleeping in cabs from Monday 3 March will be advised that the practice will not be allowed after Sunday 9 March and they will be reported to the P&O Ferries’ customer for whom they are working.
Drivers found to be sleeping in cabs from Monday 10 March will be asked to vacate the terminal immediately and they will be reported to the P&O Ferries’ customer for whom they are working.
The safety and wellbeing of everyone using port facilities is our highest priority, and for this reason, health and safety reviews of our procedures will continue. We appreciate your co-operation and support with this matter.
